Dr. Zoltán Lippényi
Zoltán Lippényi is working as postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Sociology and Research School ICS of Utrecht University. In 2014 he obtained a PhD degree in Sociology from Utrecht University. His research concerns employment policies at the national and organizational level and how these contribute to a sustainable workforce. He wrote his doctoral dissertation at the Sociology department of Utrecht University, studying long-term trends in social mobility and their social and institutional determinants in Hungary, within the Towards Open Societies project. Between 2009 and 2011 he conducted a large-scale data collection project, creating a historical micro-level database from 19th and 20th century marriage records in Hungary to study inter-generational social mobility and occupational status homogamy. His main research interests are organizations, sociology of work, social stratification and mobility. He is also interested about topics in social statistics, methodology of sociological research, and political sociology.
