Dr. Jornt Mandemakers
Jornt Mandemakers is working as an assistant professor at the Department of Sociology and Research School ICS of Utrecht University. He wrote his doctoral dissertation at the Sociology department of Tilburg (defended 2011), studying the impact of diverse life course transitions (divorce, job loss, disability) on well-being. After his PhD he worked as postdoctoral researcher at the University of Groningen (on a project of the genetics of reproductive behavior) and then as assistant professor at Wageningen University before coming to Utrecht in 2017. His research interests concern social inequality in health, the life course (mainly reproductive behavior and health) and applications of genomics in social science.
